Do you think you take good pictures? Put it to the test and win great prizes!

To kick off National Fall Foliage Week, the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) announces the start of its two fall foliage photo contests. It’s true! Not one, but two competitions to be contested this year.

1. DEC Instagram Contest

Until October 28, you can submit your favorite and creative fall foliage photos for the Instagram contest. Every Friday in October, three of DEC’s favorite submissions will be shared in a post.

You can find the DEC on Instagram by following the link here.

What do you win?

If your photo is included in one of the DEC messages, you win several prizes. You’ll get a free one-year subscription to Conservationist magazine, a copy of the NYS Wildlife Viewing Guide, a DEC reusable bag, and other fun items.
