Stray: Is there a photo mode?

As most cat owners know, cameras exist primarily for you to take pictures of your cats. As most cat owners also know, Wander is a game that very clearly targets cat lovers (and maybe even tries to convert dog lovers), but is there a photo mode in Stray for you to take photos of the ginger hero?

The short answer is unfortunately no. There is no option for photo mode in Stray. You’ll just have to get creative with your snaps, at least for now. Many games include a photo mode these days after launch, just like there are more important things to focus on before a game is released and bugs to iron out. There’s a good chance that Stray will get a photo mode down the line, but BlueTwelve Studio hasn’t announced anything yet.

Photo modes have really started to appear in a major way with Sony’s line of PS4 exclusives, all of which seem to have their own photo mode. While it’s not the main selling point for most, there is quite a large community that focuses on this form of digital photography, which may also explain why we’ve seen so many photo games lately.

Stray is available on PC, PS5 and PS4.
