Port Covington Development Photography Tour

SouthBMore.com toured the Port Covington Development Chapter 1B construction site on Friday with Weller Development Vice President of Construction Greg Hermandorfer and Senior Marketing Manager Matt Jahromi.
There are currently five buildings and a park under construction in Port Covington which are expected to begin delivery between late 2022 and early 2023. This phase of development will have 440,000 square feet of office space; 586,000 square feet of housing from 537 total units, divided into 367 market-priced residential units, 89 affordable housing units (ADUs), and 81 extended-stay units; 116,000 square feet of retail space; more than 1,000 parking spaces; and 10 acres of parks and public spaces.
Buildings include:
- Building E1: 223,000 sq. ft. (162 residential units and 40,000 sq. ft. retail)
- Building E5A: 221,500 square foot building (212,000 square feet of offices and 9,500 square feet of retail)

All but E1 have peaked at this point; new street grids are in place adding the new Cromwell St., Atlas St., Rye St., Anthem St. and Banner St.; Triangle Park and an expanded park space in front of Sagamore Spirit are under construction; and pad sites were created around the new buildings.
There are currently 600 to 900 construction workers on site every day.
