Music teacher ends her life and leaves a note on her husband’s photo ‘Mai bewafa nahi’

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): A public school teacher hangs herself to death at her home in the Chhola region. The 37-year-old teacher, identified as Indu Sahu, left a small note on her husband’s photo “Mai bewafa nahi hu (I am not unfaithful),” police said here on Thursday.

Blaming her stars, the woman also scribbled on her palm ‘Mera mangal meri jaan le lega (My Mars zodiac will get me killed)’

The police station in charge told the media that Indu, originally from Gairatganj, was a music teacher at a public school and married Subash Sahu from Bhopal about three years ago.

The woman’s in-laws told police that at around 1.30pm on Thursday we learned that she had taken her own life. One of the family members had entered her bedroom and found her clutching the ceiling fan, they told police. During the investigation, police found three notes – the one on the back of her husband’s photograph and two others on her palm. On her palm, she had written apologizing to her parents and brother for taking the extreme measure. In the other note written on her palm, she had blamed the stars for her death.

However, Indu’s parents and relatives pointed fingers at her husband and in-laws, alleging that they were harassing her. They said her husband used to suspect that she was having an extramarital affair, but Indu tried hard to convince the family that she was faithful to her husband, but to no avail. The police registered a case and opened investigations.
