Lil Baby denies Saweetie sat on his lap in viral photo

Little baby is on the defensive again after denying Saweetie sitting on his knees in a now-viral photo that has sparked a lot of rumors about the two artists.

On Monday, October 24, The Shade Room dropped a clip of Baby’s upcoming appearance on the Big Facts podcast. In the brief video, rapper Quality Control was directly asked if Saweetie sat on his lap and took the infamous photo of herself after her breakup with Quavo. Baby just said “no” and started laughing at the rumors about them. This is the latest instance Baby has denied any involvement with the “Icy” rapper.

Baby maintained that he was never romantically involved with Saweetie, however, internet sleuths believe otherwise. The photo in question shows the artist sitting on the lap of a stranger. Ever since she took the mystery photo in 2020, fans have been wondering who the man with the “Best Friends” rapper is since the photo doesn’t show his face. Some have long suspected that Baby is the unknown man since he posted photos of himself at the same Chanel store wearing similar pants and shoes as the unidentified man.

Shortly after the photo was posted (and deleted), Baby denied he was dating anyone in a now-deleted tweet. After, hollywood unblocked reported that Baby allegedly spent $100,000 on items for Saweetie while visiting the Chanel store. The two rappers also reportedly went on a date before he appeared on Saturday Night Live Last year. The rumor mill finally caught up with Saweetie’s ex-Quavo, who posted his own response on Instagram.

“Ain’t trippin we can swap out,” he wrote.

Baby also seemed to address the situation in a few songs on his new album. It is only me. In “Stand On It”, Baby raps, “I don’t want your female dog, we can’t trade / They ain’t on shit, tell ’em get out.” Meanwhile, on “Not Finished,” he says, “She posted a pic without my permission, got me fucked up, man, these women are wild / She fuck niggas, but think I don’t know no, it’s really a joke man, little mama is a clown.
