The Peak District is a popular location for landscape photographers and with Legend147’s “First Light” image, it’s easy to see why.

Winnats Pass is spectacular and when combined with the fog, the beautiful colors of the sky and the details of the trail of light presented in this crisp image, you have the recipe for success. We love everything about this image, especially the feeling you have of being able to float around in the shot and part the fog to see what’s hiding below. The hillside details are strong and juxtapose with the soft fog and slight details of the clouds above. In addition, the shape of the slopes along with the interesting details of the light trail guide you throughout the shot. It is definitely a winner in our eyes!

All of our POTW winners receive a Samsung EVO Plus 64GB MicroSDXC card with an SD adapter courtesy of Samsung. To have a chance to become our next POTW winner, simply upload an image to our gallery where you will also find all of our past POTW winners.

In addition, in the future, we will also announce a new winner of the “Photo of the Year” who will take home a Samsung T7 portable SSD. Each POTW winner, 52 in total, will then have their image shared in a new POTW forum where, in January 2022, we’ll ask all of you to hit the “Like” button on your favorite images. Then the ePHOTOzine team will count likes and our first “Photo of the Year” winner will be announced.
